Daisies and Sweet Peas Oh My!

The month of April has two flowers that represent the month, the Daisy and the Sweet Pea. Both flowers are beautiful Spring flowers and have a delicate and dainty look. Daisies are much hardier compared to the very delicate Sweet Peas.

Daisies

Daisies symbolize innocence, loyal love, and purity.  The Daisy is a spray flower, meaning that they have more than one bloom on a stem. Putting together a bouquet? Daisies make an ideal filler flower. Daisies can be used as the main focal flower in bouquets, wedding bouquets and centerpieces. White Daisies are the most popular but also come in a large selection of Natural and Tinted colors. Daisies can be placed alone in a bouquet or can be paired with other favorite flowers such as Garden Roses, Ranunculus, and Greens.

Sweet Peas

Sweet Peas are delicate flowers that are named after their sweet fragrance. Derived from the Latin “Lathyrus odoratus” meaning ‘pea’ and ‘fragrant’. Sweet Peas add a feminie and delicate touch to bouquets and centerpieces. Sweet peas have different flower meanings depending on their color. Sweet peas come with about 3 to 5 blooms per stem. Sweet peas range in colors from pastel pink to bright yellow. Sweet peas can be used in garden-style bouquets.  Sweet peas are gorgeous on their own but pair seamlessly with other spring flowers like peonies, garden roses and tulips.Wild Sweet Peas are known for their poisonous seeds. It is recommended not use this flower in food or beverage decorations.
